Sony Honda Mobility has not revealed much about its forthcoming vehicle, but what little it has shared has generated excitement.

The joint venture plans to start manufacturing its first electric vehicle in 2026, with a focus on North American production and online sales in that region. Japan will be the second market to receive the vehicle, followed by a rollout in Europe.

The EV joint-venture has been hinting at a major announcement during the upcoming CES 2023, and now the press conference is about to start. Take a comfortable seat and follow it alongside any other potential announcements from Sony.

While not many specifics about the forthcoming car have been confirmed, Sony Honda Mobility has indicated that the vehicle, which does not yet have a name, may have the capability for Level 3 autonomous driving in certain situations and Level 2+ in a broader range of conditions.

The company has also indicated that value will be added to the car through the implementation of subscription services. There have also been rumors that the car's infotainment system may feature a complete PlayStation 5.
