GM launches configurator for updated 2024 Cadillac Lyriq

Max McDee, 15 February 2023

Cadillac Lyriq is the first electric SUV from the brand and it has been around already for a while. First debuted in April 2021, it went on sale eventually last year. Unfortunately the online configurator was never available for that model but with the updated 2024 version, Cadillac fixed that situation.

New configurator went live just as the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq went officially on sale. Lyriq went on a diet and the company trimmed a few options from it and introduced a new trim called Tech. That diet seems to have worked out because the Lyriq starts now from $58,590 in this entry level trim.

The sub $59,000 Lyriq comes with rear-wheel drive only and 308 miles of range but that range is estimated by GM. There is no EPA rating yet available and the range surely will change. All-wheel drive is optional with the range remaining similar at 307 miles - again, GM estimated.

Extra $4,100 buys you the Lyriq Luxury with black painted roof, Nappa leather seats, AKG Studio sound system and heated seats in the second row. The optional extras for this trim are: Super Cruise, glass panoramic roof and 19.2 kW AC charging. AWD system is optional just as on the Tech trim.

The $63,190 Lyriq Sport offers body-colored door handles and obsidian black trims together with a unique grille. Just as the other options, it starts as RWD and AWD is optional, add to it the longest option list in the lineup and if you keep ticking all the options you will eventually arrive at over $82,000 fully specced Lyriq.

Keep it under $80,000 though and you will qualify for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. Snapping up the Lyriq Sport 3 or the Luxury 3 with almost all options for $72,500 after the tax credit sounds like a really decent value. It will be interesting to see the EPA ratings for the 2024 model, the current Cadillac Lyriq RWD comes with 312 miles EPA rating.
