Cadillac teases snippets of the Celestiq show car

Ivan, 09 June 2022

Cadillac's all-out EV, the show car Celestiq, has been shrouded in mystery, ever since GM showed it off in 2020. We know that it's a show car and that a production car based on it is coming in 2025. We also know that it will be Cadillac's Tesla Model S or Mercedes EQS competitor, with a six-figure price tag.

Cadillac has seen fit to remind us of the show car by posting a few candid snaps of the Celestiq, including this image of the fender, the huge wheel, the front boot lining, and an illuminated ode to Cadillac's iconic Flying Lady hood ornament.

We're not sure what the first image here shows, but the second is a door hinge bolt with Cadillac's 'Standard of the world' slogan, signifying just how well-made the Celestiq will be.

Is that... is that a hinge bolt? Is that... is that a hinge bolt?

This image shows the L-shaped taillights, a staple of the Cadillac Lyriq.

Back to what we know. The Cadillac Celestiq will be built on GM's Ultium platform, shared by the GMC Hummer, Chevrolet Silverado, and Buick Electra-X. That means we can expect a 100kWh battery pack, four-wheel steering, and dual-motor AWD.
