While we were all enjoying the launch of Chevrolet Blazer EV the company has quietly updated its website. Next to the Blazer EV now proudly sits a photo of Chevy Equinox EV and visitors can sign up for email updates to make sure they won’t miss the smaller SUV officially being launched.

The photo shows Equinox EV LT - an entry level trim which hasn’t been shown before in any teaser images. This new image clearly shows the car’s really decent ground clearance and interestingly enough - the popup door handles which are missing on the more expensive Blazer EV.

The Equinox is clearly smaller than the Blazer EV, it’s not as tall and is quite a bit shorter despite the two vehicles sharing the Ultium architecture. Chevrolet previously released teaser images showing that the Equinox will come in the range topping Super Sport trim. It won’t be as powerful as the Blazer EV SS but it will be close and being a smaller and nimbler vehicle, it will be fun to drive. The driving range should be around the 300 miles mark with a single motor model with the largest battery possibly offering even more.

GM is adamant that the starting price for the Chevrolet Equinox EV will be around $30,000 and we want to believe that. Prices of the Blazer EV are shockingly low when compared to competition. If the company manages to deliver on its promises - Equinox will fly off the showroom floors like toilet rolls flew off the shelves during the first Covid lockdown.
