Wiesmann Thunderball first year production sold out

If you were hoping to nab the classic 2-seat roadster from Wiesmann then you’re late. The all-electric Thunderball sold out the entire 2024 production although the actual numbers are most likely low since all the vehicles are hand-built in Germany.

The $320,000 Wiesmann Thunderball was unveiled last year and it became an instant sensation. Thanks to its classic looks and uncompromised performance from two electric motors, the car earned praise all over the world. The customers spoke with their wallets and as soon as the company opened order books, all the production slots for 2024 were taken in no time at all.

The company itself was rather surprised by the success, it seems Wiesmann was expecting a rather conservative response from the public. The $320,000 (€300,000) sale price wasn’t a deterrent for the prospective owners, nor was the long waiting list for the 2024 delivery.

Wiesmann Thunderball is a carbon fiber 671 hp electric pocket rocket. Handcrafted by the experts, the car is promised to deliver exhilarating performance with claimed 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds. The 92 kWh battery is promised to last for 500 km (310 miles) and thanks to its support of up to 300 kW DC charging, replenishing it should be as fast as the car itself.

2025 production orders are being taken now, all the customers need is a fully refundable €3,000 deposit. Each car is unique and is made with the customer’s input in the best tradition of coach-making that Wiesmann is so famous for.
