Cadillac Lyriq AWD will come with 500hp - orders start May 19
Until now we only heard about Cadillac Lyriq coming with a single motor and 340hp, but a more exciting version is on the way. Cadillac will release an AWD model with two motors pushing out 500hp and putting it right against the Audi e-tron S and BMW iX xDrive 50. There is no mention of the AWD model using a different battery - it will likely stick with the same 100kWh pack, but the range will likely be lower than the 312 miles (502km) achieved by Lyriq RWD in EPA cycle.
During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Cadillac confirmed that both models will be available for order starting May 19 with deliveries of the RWD version in special Lyriq Debut Edition beginning later this year. The Debut Edition will be only available in black or silver colors and won’t offer any options.
The AWD production will follow with the model most likely available towards the end of 2022 or early 2023. Cadillac mentioned that other versions of Lyriq will be available this autumn - they did not elaborate on that though, leaving it open to speculations.
What isn’t a speculation is a starting price of RWD Lyriq - that’s confirmed to be $59,990 which will make the AWD expectedly more expensive but still leaves room for Cadillac to compete with BMW iX xDrive50, which starts at $84,800 and Audi e-tron S, which is even more expensive at $86,440. The market is hotting up and customers are finally getting more choice - expensive choice but often worth it.

Could you please convert miles into Km for us? I am aware that one or 2 countries in the world don't use the metric system but we can tend to minorities by providing both values...
