Cybertruck spotted in numbers at Tesla's Texas Gigafactory
Latest reports suggest Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas is on a roll, churning out Cybertrucks in larger quantities. Drone enthusiast Joe Tegtmeyer recently treated us to some aerial insights into the facility, spotting multiple Cybertrucks, possibly indicating a test production run. So, is it raining Cybertrucks in Texas? Not quite yet. But it's an indication that Tesla's gears are moving, and the company might be edging closer to an official production kick-off.
And as for who gets to drive the first few off the lot? It might just be the Tesla insiders. Think board members getting the first bite of the apple while the rest of us drool in anticipation.
Recently, a prototype Cybertruck was found taking a roadside nap and became a golden opportunity for the curious. Thanks to Wayne, an enterprising Samaritan from Electrek, we got some ground-level paparazzi shots of the truck's undercarriage.
Remember Bastien Theron, the guy who shifted from tinkering with suspensions to electrifying ATVs? After examining the candid shots, Bastien noticed Tesla's anti-roll bar approach, differentiating from Rivian's hydraulic system. The rear lower A-arm is of a welded steel nature and also caught his attention. And while we might get tangled in these intricate details, Bastien summarized it best: "Simplicity might be its strength."
Speaking of suspension, Tesla has hinted at an adaptive air suspension system for the Cybertruck, with the ability to raise and lower it for easier access. Elon Musk, the man who rarely goes over 140 characters, dropped a hint about giving the Cybertruck some off-road love, suggesting it could show off its moves in the challenging Baja 1000 race.

In all honesty, we still can’t believe this thing is actually about to go on sale, there’s a small part of us that hopes this is just the most elaborate prank ever, and the real Cybertruck will emerge to the whole world’s surprise. Small chance of that. Whether it's the bustling activity at Gigafactory Texas or the sneak peeks under a prototype, every hint and teaser only fuels our collective anticipation. And while we might not have all the answers yet, one thing's for sure: Cybertruck’s official launch is getting close.
