2025 Genesis Electrified G80 gets a refresh with extra range, size and tech

The Genesis Electrified G80 is getting a significant update for the next model year. Genesis unveiled the updated EV at the Busan International Mobility Show in South Korea, showcasing a longer wheelbase, increased battery capacity, and a slew of luxurious enhancements both inside and out.

While official EPA range figures for the US market are yet to be released, the larger 95.4 kWh battery pack (up from 87.2 kWh) has boosted the range by 11% in the Korean market. So you can expect the Electrified G80 to offer a range of over 300 miles, a significant improvement over the outgoing model's range.

The wheelbase has grown by 5.1 inches, translating to more legroom for rear passengers, who can now enjoy VIP reclining seats with leg rests and a memory feature. And, just like in a Rolls-Royce, they can close the doors with the push of a button, thanks to the new EasyClose system.

The interior also gets a tech upgrade with a massive 27-inch OLED display replacing the old 14.5-inch screen. The new display serves as both the gauge cluster and infotainment center, creating a sleek and futuristic look.

On the outside, the Electrified G80 sports a subtly redesigned G-Matrix Crest Grille, new headlights with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, and additional chrome accents. Standard dish-style 19-inch wheels and a tweaked front bumper complete the exterior refresh.

While official pricing for the refreshed Electrified G80 hasn't been announced, expect a slight increase over the current model's starting price. The facelifted Genesis Electrified G80 is set to hit the South Korean market in August, with other markets to follow shortly.

Something very uncanny valley with this brand. The logo looks like a Bentley. The design looks like an Audi. maybe in multiverse.
