Modern car safety features have saved countless lives and keep getting better every year. They help prevent accidents, but sometimes, these features can be implemented in ways that might do more harm than good, which is why many owners wonder if it’s possible to turn them off and how to do it if so.

How to Disable Driver Assistance Features in the Fiat Grande Panda

We already wrote an article explaining why these features exist, but here we will focus on how to turn them off most effectively when you don't need them. Each manufacturer has their own take on how to integrate the technology, so in this series we will focus on learning how to turn off distracting features on the Fiat Grande Panda.

Turning off all assistant features in the Fiat Grande Panda?

There are just two buttons that control the driver aids on board the Fiat Grande Panda and their usage is pretty simple. Said buttons are placed in the lower part of the center console and are surrounded by different charging ports.

The left one turns off the speed assistant, which beeps very loudly once you exceed the speed limit it has detected. You press the button for a few seconds and it switches off.

The right button controls the lane keeping assistant, which isn't invasive at all and there isn't much reason to have it off. Once again, you press the button for a few seconds and it turns off.

You cannot turn anything else on or off. However, there aren’t many other assistants available besides traction control, so you can enjoy a pure driving experience without much artificial input from a computer.
