Huawei-powered Avatr 11 gets a refresh with new EREV and BEV variants
Chinese automaker Avatr Technology, backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has refreshed its Avatr 11 model with the addition of extended-range (EREV) variants. This is Avatr's second model, following the Avatr 07, to offer both BEV and EREV options.
Originally launched in August 2022 as a BEV-only model, the Avatr 11 was the first premium vehicle in China to feature Huawei Inside, Huawei's comprehensive smart car solution, as a standard feature. The introduction of EREV variants is a direct response to the growing demand for electric vehicles that alleviate range anxiety.
The Avatr 11 EREV is equipped with CATL's battery pack with a capacity of 39.05 kWh. It provides a pure electric range of 140 miles. With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the Avatr 11 EREV promises an impressive CLTC range of up to 662 miles.
Available in two variants, the Avatr 11 EREV starts at RMB 279,900 ($38,400) and RMB 299,900 ($41,150). Both variants feature a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 124 mph.
The battery-powered Avatr 11 continues to be offered in three variants, priced at RMB 339,900 ($46,650), RMB 369,900 ($50,750), and RMB 429,900 ($59,000). Thanks to the CATL-supplied Li-ion ternary battery pack with a capacity of 116.79 kWh, the Avatr 11 BEV delivers a CLTC range of up to 506 miles for the single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant and 472 miles for the dual-motor four-wheel-drive variants. The four-wheel-drive versions accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a respectable 3.9 seconds.
