Spy shots in China show us the Polestar 4 for the first time
Welcome to your first look at the Polestar 4 in the wild. The Polestar 4 is a sporty all-electric SUV that Polestar is tipped to launch in 2024. Think of it as a direct Tesla Model Y competitor.
The couple of snaps below are from a test car found parked somewhere in China. The car's covered in design-obscuring fabric so we can't see it as we'd like, but the overall shape is clearly visible.
The author of the spy photos says that the Polestar 4 is a bit shorter than the Zeekr 001 (4,970mm), which should make the Polestar 4 around 4,800-4,900mm in length. The two SUVs should be fairly similar, given that the Zeekr is built on Geely's SEA architecture, which is close to the PMA platform, on which the Polestar 4 will be made.
Rumor has it the Polestar 4 will have an all-wheel drive version with up to 600km of WLTP range and should be priced similarly to the Model Y.
The Polestar 4 is expected to start production in March 2023 in Zeekr's Hangzhou Bay plant in China. The factory is reportedly under production upgrade that should be completed by February 1.
