Subaru teases Performance-E STI concept, giving hot hatch vibes

Subaru seems ready to reinvent its EV ambitions with a new hot hatch that will undoubtedly make people think back fondly to the days of the ICE powered Impreza WRX STI. The brand is now teasing a new concept dubbed Performance-E STI, which will be fully revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, which starts on October 31.

Subaru only wrote one paragraph about the Performance-E STI, so we'll just have to wait a couple more weeks for any actual details. The brand notes that this "represents the future of the Performance Scene, spearheading Subaru's new generation", combining "thrilling aesthetic proportions with outstanding aerodynamics and practicality".

Its design "evokes the brand's heritage while providing a driver-friendly layout and a comfortable, spacious interior". We are also promised to see "various innovative technologies" incorporated, though what those are is anyone's guess.

Subaru's final promise regarding the Performance-E STI is that it offers "intuitive, exhilarating driving experiences", which we're all for.
