Tesla takes its Cyberquad for Kids to China
Tesla's Cyberquad for Kids, inspired by the design of the already iconic Cybertruck, has now made its way to the Chinese market. It will go on sale on July 14 at 10 am local time, from Tesla's online store for China, for CNY 11,990 (approximately $1,676 or €1,494 at the current exchange rates).
The Cyberquad for Kids has 188 Wh lithium batteries that give it a range of up to 13 km (8 miles). It has a top sped of 8 km/h (5 mph). It's suitable for children aged 8-12 years, according to Tesla, and its maximum weight capacity is 50 kg (110 lbs).
The Cyberquad for Kids was finally released in the US in late 2021, priced at around $1,900. In October 2022, it was recalled due to safety concerns, after a rollover accident caused by an adult female driving with her eight-year old child. At the time, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said the Cyberquad for Kids did not meet federal standards for youth ATVs.
