This is how much the Slate Truck will cost

Slate Auto, which counts Amazon's Jeff Bezos and Google's former CEO Eric Schmidt among its main investors, has announced the pricing of its upcoming Slate Truck.

It will start at $24,950, excluding taxes, title, license, registration, governmental fees, destination charges, documentation fees, and any optional equipment.

You can pre-order one from the official website by locking in your delivery window for a $300 non-refundable payment (that will be deducted from your order if you go through with it). When that delivery window gets close, the company will reach out to you to finalize the order.

These delivery windows are promised to open in "late 2026", which is also when deliveries should start. That's probably when we'll finally get a full list of specs and options. In the meantime, Slate is billing this as "the most affordable truck in America".
