An all-electric Nissan GT-R with solid-state battery coming in 2030

During the Japan Mobility Show back in October 2023, Nissan introduced its Hyper Force EV concept - a bold new 1,341 hp sports car with a blurred logo.

Many believed that the blurred logo belongs to the GT-R and in a recent statement, the design director of the Hyper Force EV, Giovanny Arroba, confirmed that. He said that an all-electric GT-R is coming by 2030 and the Hyper Force EV is a glimpse of what to expect.

Perhaps not all design traits will make it to the final electric GT-R, as is usually the case with concepts, but Nissan promises a solid-state battery on board, which will be the centerpiece feature.

In fact, Nissan believes it will launch its first EV with a solid-state battery by 2028, suggesting that the tech will see mainstream adoption before the end of the decade.
