Chevy offers first glimpse of more affordable Silverado EV LT
Chevrolet released the first images of the Silverado EV LT, a more affordable version of its first electric truck. The reveal follows the successful launches of the Silverado EV WT (Work Truck) and the top-tier First-Edition RST.
The Silverado WT, introduced in late 2023, comes with 510 horsepower output and 615 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the RST, which joined the lineup in May 2024, takes it up a notch with 754 horsepower and over 785 lb-ft of torque in Wide Open Watts Mode. This power allows the RST to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds.
Both trims support DC fast charging up to 350 kW, offering an estimated 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes and a GM-estimated range of up to 450 miles. The WT starts at approximately $75,000, while the fully loaded First-Edition RST exceeds $96,000. Not what we could call an affordable pickup truck.
Enter the Silverado EV LT, designed to make the truck accessible to a wider audience. Chevrolet describes the LT as versatile and ready for everyday use, featuring a distinct lower front bumper, unique exterior lighting elements, and an interior full of the latest tech. We get the same 17.7-inch infotainment and 11.3-inch driver displays found in the RST, along with exterior LED lighting, including the illuminated bowtie emblem.
The LT will also offer a 180 cm bed available with Chevy's Multi-Flex Tailgate, and buyers can opt for 22-inch aluminum wheels with aero inserts. Like its siblings, the Silverado EV LT will ride on GM's Ultium platform, with an extended-range battery pack delivering a range of nearly 400 miles.
Chevy has hinted that the LT will be a future trim, potentially a 2025 model, and an off-road Trail Boss upgrade is also on the horizon. Although official pricing details are yet to be released, the LT is expected to start at a more accessible price point, somewhere between $55,000 and $65,000.
