Honda opens sales for e:NP2 today, e:NS2 to follow in June
Honda kicked off the 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) by announcing the sales of its e:NP2 and e:NS2 EVs in collaboration with its two joint ventures - GAC and Dongfeng.
The e:NP2 will go on sale today from the GAC Honda joint venture, while the e:NS2 will go on sale in June of this year from the Dongfeng Honda venture.
The Honda e:NP2Honda held off on the specifics like price and performance figures but did say the e:NP2 will offer up to 339 miles on the CLTC standard, which is about 22 miles more than the e:NP1.
The company announced that it plans to introduce a total of 10 Honda-brand EVs in China by 2027, and aims for EVs to represent 100% of Honda sales in the largest market by 2035.
The e:NP2 and e:NS2 are very similar in both looks and size - the NP2 is just 1 mm longer than the NS2. The e:NP2 has claw-like headlights, while the e:NS2 gets more of a fang-shaped design.
If we look to previous MIIT filings, both cars ride of the same 2,735 mm wheelbase, and are 1,840 mm wide, and 1,570 mm tall. Both also use a single 150 kW (204 ps) motor and a 68.8 kWh battery.
