Li Auto to launch 5-seat electric SUV Li L7 on February 8
Li Auto confirmed the launch date of its next SUV, the Li L7, at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Li L7 will be unveiled on February 8, 2023. Test drive vehicles will be available at Li Auto's retail outlets the very next day, according to the announcement.
The new Li L7 is designed for families with five passengers. The company is hyping up its performance and says it will offer features to stand-out.
The Li L7 is Li Auto's first five-seat vehicle and has a length of 5,050 millimeters, width of 1,995 millimeters, height of 1,750 millimeters, and wheelbase of 3,005 millimeters, according to the company.
The Li L7 will be equipped with Li Auto's extended-range electric system 2.0, which promises significant performance improvements. It will enable the upcoming SUV to go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.3 seconds.
Initially, Li Auto planned to sell variations of the Li L8 with either five or six seats. However, the company says that the five-seat variant is not merely a rehash, but rather a deeply customized design, deserving of its own name, and so the Li L7 was born.
On September 30, Li Auto began accepting pre-orders for the Li L8 and also showcased the Li L7 during the official launch event for the Li L8.
The Li L7 is available in two versions: the Pro and the Max, with starting prices of RMB 339,800 and RMB 379,800, respectively ($47,640 and $54,780).
