Maserati is launching three EVs in 2023, will go full electric by 2030
Today Maserati unveiled its EV plans for the next few years, and they're very ambitious. The Italian brand wants to come out with electric versions of all its models by 2025, and go full electric by 2030.
We won't see any EV action from Maserati this year, unfortunately, but in 2023 it will launch the new GranTurismo, the first 100% electric Maserati in history. This will be made at the Mirafiori production hub and will offer "cutting-edge technical solutions derived from Formula E, superb performance, comfort and elegance".
The GranTurismo is billed as "the world's first electric luxury sports car", and it will arrive with "way over 1,200 hp" produced by its three electric motors, and promises to be the "fastest full electric in the luxury market", with 0-100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) acceleration in less than 3 seconds, and a top speed of over 300 km/h (186 mph).
Also next year, the upcoming Grecale SUV will be available in an electric version too. There will then be an electric GranCabrio, scheduled for launch in 2023 too.
After that, by 2025, we'll have an electric MC20 supercar, an electric version of the upcoming new Quattroporte sedan, and an electric version of the new Levante full-size SUV too. By 2030, Maserati's entire lineup will consist only of EVs. All of the brand's new models will be developed, engineered, and produced 100% in Italy.
