It should improve performance, efficiency, safety and charging times.

aReefer, 25 Dec 2022Makes sense I suppose. If your battery is heating up, then it's also degrading. Not... moreBetter kWh per 100 kilometres is possible pretty much everywhere - the motor is rarely the issue - it's everything around the motor - weight, poor aerodynamics, poor thermal design.
Autopilot won't save anything sales wise + it won't be commercially available for quite a while, better ADAS is better right now.

Don't expect EU manufacturers to come up with any usable EV in years to come. Tesla has the best tech (powertrain wise), Hyundai is probably best balanced, Chinese EVs are cheap and will get drastically better with time ... and VW group, Stellantis, Volvo, Mercedes? Pretty much irrelevant.

Makes sense I suppose.

If your battery is heating up, then it's also degrading.

Not unlike LED's.

The only "Western" democracy giving the Chinese a run for their money in the EV world right now is S. Korea I think when considering all the parameters of build quality, tech, production volume etc.
I don't really count Tesla because their numbers are still too low relative to the Chinese and they are aimed exclusively at the premium sector.

Western countries need a radical energy storage tech breakthrough to catch up I think, or a true autopilot that doesn't try to murder either its driver or a passerby under the right set of circumstances, or a more efficient electric motor that gets more power to the wheels out of every KWH of energy, etc.

Looks like China will catch Tesla on charging speeds.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2022this looks like they just patented what Tesla is already doing.Similar but not the same. This looks like it has more pipes on it's coolant configuration than the Tesla's. Still wonder if they can pull it off commercially considering they always compromise in some way in their other techs.

Solih, 23 Dec 2022I dont have EV, and i cant purchase any EV. My old car still use gasoline. : / I dont know ... moreEveryone can learn something about EVs, it is not some well guarded secret - there are a ton of articles and video explaining how most of the regular EV powertrains work and discussing battery tech current and potential new breakthroughs in chemistry trying to replace lithium.
Not to mention, if EVs are not viable for you, there are still plugin hybrids or regular hybrids.

Do not expect cheap EVs, not for a long time. Real cheap ones are probably sold out at least two years in advance (Dacia Spring).

I dont know anything about EV, its vehicle component, and its period service system. Im sure many people out there dont understand EV.
But i hope one day Xiaomi make Affordable EV. So many people can discuss about EV
