The forces driving their development were there anyway, so the transition would have occurred regardless: after all, the Nissan Leaf was released before the Tesla Model S (their previous vehicle, the Roadster, was a niche car with rather limited distribution). It would probably have happened a bit slower without Tesla, but it would have happened.

And the laws of physics are the same for everyone, so its unsurprising if there are a lot of similarities. I actually wish that Tesla would be less "distinctive" in their cockpit design, because the "big screen in the middle, no other instruments" approach is a definite negative for me: at least add a heads-up display people.

So taking "regular gas vehicles" and sticking batteries and electric motors in them is a poor engineering solution.

It is amazing to see all these companies copy Tesla. If Tesla never started, we most likely wouldn't have EV's.

On top of that, this concept isn't much different than a Tesla.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2023Can someone please tell these car manufacturers that nobody wants these gimmicky, "futuri... moreI would love all these features. Sony's technology and Honda's experience will make an amazing electric car. I would feel much safer driving this than any other electric or gas car (assuming everything works as intended).

I just hope it has good milage (unless I missed it)

Can someone please tell these car manufacturers that nobody wants these gimmicky, "futuristic" electric cars and to please just take regular gas car designs and throw an electric engine into it? These ridiculous designs pretty much solidify people's poor opinions of electric cars as nothing more than toys for rich boys.

the design looks bland and gorgeous at the same time. I don't know what to feel about it. the name might sound something in non english speaking countries but this one will be marketed in the US first.

Afeela bit uncertain about the branding. Afeela little like nobody ran it past an English speaker before announcing it.

Will it come with a 3.5mm jack?
