Wyoming politicians didn’t get the memo: propose a ban sales on EV sales

17 January 2023
Politicians are a different breed entirely but on rare occasions they get things right. Unfortunately, this was not one of those occasions.

Those people apart sitting on chairs and blabbing usual nonsense for which they are paid way more than real people working outside real jobs should be quiet and stop being acting like a real cowards.

The question I'd like to ask: given that the oil companies have known from their own research that global heating is caused by human activity (Exxon's research predicted the rate very accurately in the early 70s), but have spent the intervening decades lobbying and funding denialists to discredit what they know was true and delay action which would have saved lives, money and ecosystems, why are none of the execs who knowingly perpetuated the fraud that humans are not responsible, and are still funding politicians and lobby groups who aim to delay action, facing jail time?

What a total political clown circus. Even though I support EVs and the coming EV revolution, there needs to be change in this state if that will pose so much of an issue that they'll lose much if their income because of this. They need to act now and change their economy to a more modern and future-proof solution. If they have to limit EV sales to fix their issues, then they're doing something wrong. They can't just say, "Oh, well we'll delay technological advancements so we can still lay around and not do much" without hurting future technological progress. I wish we had smarter, more knowledgeable congress leaders who would actually think of the future and not their own past.
