EU delays voting on ICE ban due to German opposition

The European parliament was meant to vote on the 2035 ICE ban but due to concerns about e-fuels expressed by Germany, that vote is now suspended.

author seems very pro-ev
I don't know where you see all those people wanting EV and are no longer interested in combustion engines. Most of the people will buy whatever is cheap and gets the job done. That is why people are using old cars. Average age of cars in EU is around 11 years. There are countries that average around 14 years or even more.
If we want cleaner environment we should prioritize getting newer and cleaner cars to the general population. By banning sales of ICE and selling only EVs that are still quite expensive compared to ICE is not the solution. If people could afford current generation of ICE cars it would help so much.

Author is saying that emitting less in not an answer, that that's precisely the answer. We gradually lower the emissions. If less is not an answer, why don't we ban the usage or ICE cars straight away, let people buy EVs or they can walk everywhere....
