Tesla is switching to 48V systems with the Cybertruck first

Tesla confirmed it is moving away from the 12V onboard system and will replace it with a 48V system instead, with the Cybertruck to be the first vehicle to use it.

It's actually 16V Li-ion battery (15.5V to be precise)

Actually power and voltage are inversely proportional if the goal is to deliver the same amount of power as Power = Voltage x Current

say you need to deliver 240W to an AC compressor. With 12V you you would need to provide 20A. But with 48V you would need to provide only 5A
