Tesla Semi with 500 miles range is ready for orders

After a very long wait Tesla finally opened up order books for the Semi and released some technical specifications together with prices ‘ let’s have a look at those.

80,000lbs is 30 tonnes, not 36. The maximum weight of a semi truck with load also just so happens to be 80,000lbs (yes it’s now slightly larger for electric trucks), so unless the Tesla truck weighs nothing then we have no idea how much freight this thing can carry.

So you can put money down on a semi without any idea of when you’ll get one or what your return on investment will be when it arrives. But if guess a lot of people turn their brains off when it comes to Tesla so I’m sure it’ll do great anyway!

What it does not make easy is backing a tr... moreThere are so many cameras and sensors in modern vehicles, in particular Teslas, that won't be an issue. In fact, after owning a multiple camera equipped Nissan Leaf for a few years, when I go back to an old fashioned vehicle without a camera, I get neck strain with all the head turning. And with multiple cameras and sensors, the vehicle can see in all directions at once.

Best get them supercharger stations at 800 volts or open your network up.... Musk has led on his terms for a long time.. thanks. But now he's responsible... Tesla needs to provide a more comprehensive system.
