Anonymous, 04 Dec 2023Why would you want to drive a car that is guaranteed to have quality control problems? They... moreDo you have proof, or is It just some automatic response because It's chinese?

If Tesla can sell their cars to "normal" users because It has a sufficient quality, despite them not even able to fix their visual defects, then I don't think It's a big problem for the chinese manufactures.
BTW, I see some chinese brands showing here in my country(Europe) lately, and I don't think they would be allowed to be sold, If they were dangerous.

Kuba, 05 Dec 2023I live in China and customers have high expectations sadly only when it comes to visuals + mat... moreAITO is just a brand, It didn't start as a separate company, which merged or was bought by a different company, so It's not surprising It does not have Its own factories.
AITO stands for Adding Intelligence to Auto, which is a collaboration between Huawei and Seres Group.
AITO brand name was this year acquired by Huawei, or at least the name in chinese, so It's basically a Huawei car manufactured by Seres.

You say that It's a problem that AITO is giving the warranty itself, because then If It goes under you loose warranty or access to spare parts, right?
Jetta is also just a chinese brand created by VW group and FAW group, doesn't have own factories and I seriously doubt the warranty is given by either of them, so the same potential problem.

As for the conclusion, these gigantic companies can't really just say that they won't take over the responsibilities of their sub companies, It would have a detrimental effect on the other businesses they own.

Qidamin, 05 Dec 2023The time when Chinese people had low expectations is over, in case you don't know.I live in China and customers have high expectations sadly only when it comes to visuals + materials. Everyone wants pay little and drive luxurious. Most of Chinese big manufacturers spin off new brands just for their EVs, it means when new brand go bankrupt, people cannot claim warranty or spare parts from mother company. Example is AITO, produced by Seres, sold in Huawei shops, who is giving warranty? Aito! The company that exists only on paper. Xiaomi will also for sure has some legal loopholes to protect itsels if the car don't sell well. You can forget any support after 2-3 years.

abraham10, 04 Dec 2023EREV or PHEV, it doesn't matter, but I hope it's a global model. Why would you want to drive a car that is guaranteed to have quality control problems? They're sold only in China for a reason, they don't meet "normal" user expectations, they only meet the expectations of someone that HAS to love their country(or be jailed).
