If it is a packed infrastructure like in Europe, 150-mile range wou... morethat's a huge overstatement about Europes infrastructure! may be valid for west and central Europe, but once you go east of Austria & Germany(maybe Poland, not sure) then it gets way thinner with the charging infrastructure. In many cases you might see a charging station on your app but when on spot, it's either non-functional or not there at all.

But that does not really change a point of hauling 100+ kWh battery and use it effectively twice a year. But as time go, batteries are lighter, faster to charge, cars are more efficient ... I believe it will end up in a decent spot quite quickly, where even the extremes like "I need to go 1000 km on a single charge, don't have to pee or stretch my legs ..." etc. will be satisfied with available EV cars.

Do you need 500miles all the time? No. But you may want it once or twice a year. It also means you don't have to plug in every day. It also men's if you commute, you could still have an emergency need to drive somewhere and make it.

Also plenty of people do go on roadtrips multime times a year.

Who cares about the range? It's not like I'm planning on taking a cross-country road trip anytime soon. I just need a car that gets me from point A to point B reliably.
