Despite setbacks and uncertainty surrounding the Apple Car project, Apple is ramping up its autonomous vehicle testing efforts in 2024, with 162 test drivers and 68 autonomous vehicles, signaling its continued commitment to self-driving technology.

They weren't the first smartphone, tablet, watch, ect but they're more successful and profitable than their competitors. I don't think they're going for a typical "Tesla clone" EV like most Chinese companies offer.

I have no idea what Apple are doing with an EV/autonomous vehicle plans. Bit of a shambles, with them keeping one foot in and the other out.

Given that this is Apple we're talking about, I'd expect them to find some way to blame the owner for and traffic accidents even though this will be a self-driving vehicle. Because clearly, you were [insert verb]ing it wrong.
