It seems like it has limited functionality at first.

For as long as there is still mechanical steering it's OK, but watch this space once AI can take over control and override driver's input, because the steering system is not mechanical anymore, like in Cybertruck. Something very similar already happened with two Boeing 737 Max planes which resulted in huge loss of human life.
