17 February 2024
GM's software update gives the Cadillac Lyriq a luxurious edge that just might entice buyers away from Tesla.

I don't see how this is a major update? Super cruise for now is just a gimmick, just like a Tesla self drive. I have a Lyriq without it. How will I benefit from this update. What a great achievement! I'll be able to open glove box easier! They need to work on their app, that's for sure. It works terribly. Also how about adding a battery percentage to the screen, where you can always see it? Also what happened to all those promised themes that you can download ( for wich you have to pay:) )? They need to stop marketing news that are soooo small. This should be a routine update, which by the way vehicles like Rivian do over the air every month. A news like this would be a big deal for a company like "Tata", not for a giant like GM.

Although I'm not willing to pay for a Lyriq, I have been in one and had a chance to drive it too. It's a really nice vehicle. Much more refined and apportioned than a Model Y.

Having to go to a dealer for a software update, are they serious? This is 2024. Fire the software managers.
