Infographic shows the long road to EV adoption in the US

08 February 2022
Only 1% of vehicles on US roads are electric, but the switch away from internal combustion engines is key to the plan for the US to be carbon-neutral by 2050.

problem ... will it ignite combustion engine to go boom boom ?

charging is a very big issue. US has private garages very common but, rest of the world is not llike that. 90% of cars are park on the public streets. so, no chargers are avaliable unless governments decide to make huge investments. that is no near future. charging in gas stations for 10mins give you only 30-50km of range, maybe? so,it is not convenient yet.

CptPower, 08 Feb 2022Well if every petrol stations adds 5-10 electric charging stands problem could be solved a lit... moreNo EV these days takes several hours to charge to full, and most don't need to do this for long distance travel anyway. We already have EVs capable of replenishing 200+ miles of range in under 20 minutes. The electrical grid is also something already available everywhere. We just need more chargers installed onto it in more locations.

Well if every petrol stations adds 5-10 electric charging stands problem could be solved a little.
But to 100% refuel gas powered vehicle it takes maybe 5 minites compared to several hours for EV cars.
In other words to not make huge lines full of people waiting for recharge even a 50 EV recharging stations wont be enough.
Another solution is adopt SVOOC for cars where any battery could be 100% recharged in 5-10 minutes.
But wonder how much batteries like that would and could last.

Last and best solution would be if cars will be fueled by plain water. And no other substance would be needed. Water is everywhere. Rivers, seas, oceans, icebergs etc.
This would fix many standart problems of modern era.
