Surging demand for Xiaomi SU7 fuels ambitious production boost

Tell the truth , 03 Jun 2024Do you know,UK is using BYD electrical busThese BYD busses?
There have been reports of issues with BYD electric buses in the UK. Some of the problems reported include broken heaters, driver’s chairs that are crooked, draughty driver’s cabs, and vibrating steering wheels pulling to the left or right.
In addition, there was a safety bulletin issued by Alexander Dennis to operators of BYD ADL Enviro200EV and Enviro400EV battery-electric buses in relation to a potential recall issue around the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in some of those vehicles2. This problem was identified following an issue earlier in 2024.
Furthermore, 600 electric London buses were recalled by a safety watchdog due to a critical fire risk identified in the vehicles’ air conditioning and heating systems3. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) warned operators who use the Alexander Dennis Enviro200 and Enviro400 single and double-decker buses of the critical safety issues.

Fearghast, 27 May 2024Hey, let's be positive for once here, have you seen the new Smart Air Fryers ... that is ... moreHere is the problem I have with Xiaomi consumer products in general. Xiaomi does not have it's own company owned Service Center network. What it has is authorized service centers. Normally that's ok, although many brands have their own company owned service centers (the difference, look at those official service centers that have the word Authroized and those that don't). Normally that's fine, but the policies of Xiaomi on those authorized services centers are horrible.
Case in point. I travel a lot and my Xiaomi phone battery clearly had a problem (it was getting very hot while charging, wouldn't hold a charge that long and it was causing the back of the phone to bulge out) while in another country. Took my phone to the "Authorized" service center and after 30 minutes of the tech diagnostics they said yes, I needed a new phone, but no, they could not fix it because the serial number of the phone showed it had been sold in another country! They said I would need to take it back there to get it fixed.
Instead, I promptly found a local shop that sold various brands of phones, including Xiaomi, which had a technician, and had them replace the phone battery (weren't some of you talking about battery quality?). Of course doing voided my phone warranty, which is why Xiaomi phones are now on my no buy list.

As I said in one of the other threads, ...yes, generally speaking, many components from Chinese manufacturers are of low quality. This is especially true of plastics made there.
The Chinese definition of "acceptable" in the quality standards of the plastic pellets is the reason why you find that after a few years the plastic either cracks or becomes sticky on the surface, especially in warmer regions of the world. It's not the manufacturing processes themselves, but the sub-standard materials which are accepted for those processes.
In many Chinese manufacture's drive to provide the lowest cost possible, they've gone too far in cutting costs. This isn't unique to China and not uncommon (similar to what happened in Japan in the 1970s). When economies have rapid manufacturing expansion and the market is incredibly competitive low quality products are common.
If this offends you or hurts your "national pride", get over it.

Anonymous, 25 May 2024no fault thats not crapple buddy apple is garbage with bugs apple makes electronic devices, what's the point? xiaomi started building cars with no expertise. you can have bugs in electronics but, you cannot do that for cars. they are meant to protect and transport humans. car makers have no luxury to shortcut or ignore safety measures.
