I won't give you an exact answer about cost, but 2014 Tesla Model S battery replacement was $15k including labor from which $13.5k was the cost of battery.

Didn't mention If It was the 60 or 85KW battery pack, but whatever.
It's very unlikely that the cost would linearly scale with capacity, but let's ignore It.
1KW is $159-225
100KW -> $15.9k-22.5K
30KW -> $4770-6750
You would save $10-16K at best by having a smaller battery, so nowhere near what you expected.

Electric Mustang should have this kind of configuration.
For those V8 cry babies on a muscle car, this will smoke those V8 in straight line.

charger/chally silhouette/appearance/design is iconic
problem here is that nothing about this screams innovation/cutting/bleeding edge tech
stellantis or american.
on top of that, it's expensive.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2024Changing the battery to a smaller one won't reduce the cost by $30-$40k. How much will it get reduced then? Considering a regular charger costs $30k and a Electric motor costs less than ICE. What component does this car have other than battery which creates the price difference?

What they are thinking... That fratzonic system is THE gayest possible feature in existence. Who in the right mind would buy such nonsense? Either you make a good EV or make good petrol V8. No need for such gimmicks as that fartsonic system.

$70k is too costly. EV won't sell and they will blame market. 100kwh battery for base variant is too much. 30 kwh battery for base variant would have helped reduced price to $30-$40k which is more acceptable to buyers.
