First impressions: ORA Funky Cat GT

25 June 2022
Today we are looking at a very unusual EV, not just because its full name is unusual - the whole car is just so different from any other EV on the market right now. It’s another Chinese wonder that has few surprises up its sleeves.

The markets are changing quickly, the UK is an experiment really but once they see numbers it makes sense to enter other right-hand drive markets to recoup costs of development.

Will we get the Funky Cat in Australia? If so, how much and when? We have 73 solar panels and six batteries on our house so if we swap for our high end (cash gobbling) BMW's for EV's we can retire!

It looks like this Funky Cat is winning over some hearts - it's a very interesting car, the price is obviously attractive. If the quality holds over the years and any issues are addressed quickly then we can have a real gem. ORA is quite successful in China, the company sells a lot of all size EVs and people are really positive about them. it's different than competition, it's cheaper and better equipped - what's not to like? ;)

a bit of shrinking porsche
a bit of honda and nissan march and volkswagen tone design

an effort to breath fresh model based on classic ... taking design tone from japan and europe ... where are design tone from classic chinese ??? like toyota century, classic japan, that is original

Not a fan of the rear, but otherwise, I like it a lot :)

Probably next gen with a few more range and that would be my car. 500 km are my minimum, 600 could be great.
