Dollar replaced Pound Sterling as the reserve currency after WW1.
If US keep producing those deficits, then $ won't be a king in the future, because that's a straight way to bankruptcy.
The government already pays 1 Trillion $ as interest and It will be more and more.

Debt matters, because you have to pay It.
And which G7 or OECD country could challenge USA when they are the most populous?
Let's not forget how USA has armies in many of them, In Germany and Japan from the WW2, so almost 80 years!
And you talk about how no one is challenging them when we the US allies are basically only yes-men, useful idiots who do what US tells us.

Porsche has only 2 factories in Germany (Zuffenhausen and Leipzig), there is no reason to make another one in the US, when It won't help the sales there.

I care, because I am European. Even If Porsche moved partly to US, what's so great about that?
US is so much in debt and It doesn't even look like the government want's to do anything against It.
It's just a question of time when either they will have to increase taxes significantly or US will go bankrupt.
