Consumer electronics giant Xiaomi is set to launch its first electric SUV, the YU7, on June 26, directly targeting the Tesla Model Y with superior range, high performance, and an aggressive pricing strategy.

Germany isn't the same as 20 years ago. Before anything gets done, a thousand climate activists will protest in the nearby forest and work mentality ain't that good either. Moreover, the rich families who own BMW and Porsche would put pressure on the German government to sabotage Chinese plans.

BYD has a big factory in Hungary, this is the place to go to.

If Xiaomi makes a hybrid transporter van with solar panels embedded in the roof, then I will consider buying it. Until then, no buy from me.
