German court orders Tesla to refund Model X owner over Autopilot issues

The court ruled against Tesla and ordered the company to reimburse a Model X buyer who complained about Autopilot.

Pretty crazy ruling. Sadly, idiocy like this stifles innovation.

What's next? Someone will sue because it's too much hassle to follow instructions and shift from D to R?

MaxMcDee, 19 Jul 2022That's dark :( we need less hate that's for sure. How can you possibly not like some... moreman would like to see Tesla car here in Slovakia on our Slovakian roads which are dangerous even for heavy russian tanks which now dominate across ukraine.
Not many people have Tesla here and people know why.
Our roads mostly looks like after a meteor shower or something like that.
In road like that such an expensive car as tesla would gets damaged pretty fast.
And something like autopilot you can forget that immediately.

How can you possibly not like someone jsut because of the car they drive? I don't believe it one bit. Yes people are silly but it's not really entirely their fault - they believe what they see and hear on tv or YT or social media. And when someone call their glorified cruise control and autopilot - they take it as an autopilot. Have you ever heard the story of first cruise control in motorhomes? In 2000 a gentleman got himself a brand new 32 foot Winnebago. He left the showroom, joined the freeway, put the Winnie on cruise control, got up and went to the back to make himself a cup of coffee... After the obvious crash and mayhem on the freeway, the guy sued Winnebago because nobody told him and there was no instructions in the owner's manual, not to leave the seat once the cruise control is engaged. That's why we have stickers everywhere these days telling us not to do things - hot coffee, hot water, slippery floor and stay in your seat once the cruise control is on... ;)
