Hyundai has announced a big price cut for the 2026 Ioniq 5 in the US, with the base model now starting at {{$35,000}}, boosting affordability as federal EV incentives change.

O, 02 Oct 2025I mean the build and material is way better than a Mercedes or Porsche, and they shame any US ... moreioniq 5 has some major issues. hyundai/kia have terrible corporate/dealer service.
koreans in general are not known for software and ev is basically a sewing machine with battery and software.
only weirdos/crazies would pay that much for it.
if one gets a deal on a lease, then ok.

'Efficiency'. These plants are certainly not more efficient than the ones in Korea. But they are getting absolutely INSANE tax breaks for them. All these new factories in Georgia and the Carolinas are not only paying no tax, but hugely subsidized from state budgets. Also I believe the Ioniq 5 is due for replacement at the end of next year.
