What subsidies for gas? First, what country are you talking about?cause everyone has different rules
Second, if there are some there were not for buying cars but for the fuel if I understood you correctly, whole different thing

You need to compare with all cars sold together
Then take out all bought by companies since that doesn't count as a persons desire
Then you can come close to what the status is
You will still have people wanting to try EVs, doesn't mean they want to buy another one

Moon, 15 Oct 2025All of this will become toxic waste when hydrogen cars become popular.How do you think you can fill up Hydrogen into your car when your Hydrogen Station only has 70% of what your car has, it won't go up to 100%, you'll be stuck with 70%. Hydrogen cars flopped hard, and they won't make a return ever, end of story.

Personally, I'm fine with the market dictating sales here in the US rather than the constant need for government incentives. Sales will slowly tick upwards and as prices come down and battery technology improves, sales will increase with consumer demand. I've switched from a traditional hybrid to a PHEV this year myself.
