What's interesting is why Huawei would bother with this partnership. Geely own Meizu and Meizu are working on Flyme for car. HarmonyOS wont be used for long by them.

TBH, if it's stable, it can connect to platforms like iOS and Android, no one cares what core runs on the background.
It can sync that and that ... and no one cares if it syncs your Spotify playlist, it's on your phone anyway.

I wonder why did Geely use Meizu's Flyme? There was a rumour about Flyme for Car before.

Huawei HarmonyOS is not comparable to CarPlay, not in the same league. Apple CarPlay is a privilege specially reserved just for Apple phone owners. In contrast, HarmonyOS in car is just software running the car. HarmonyOS offers nothing special. That's why able people all choose Apple.
