Volvo gives 2.5 million cars a digital makeover

Volvo is rolling out a major software update to 2.5 million cars to give older models the same modern interface found in its newest electric vehicles.

1. So, even though my V60 is younger (2021), it's still a Sensus-based system, so left alone.
2. Is 5y really an "old vehicle"? The aforementioned V60 is still on warranty (extended, but nevertheless, and it's not the only brand where you can get 7y warranty support)
3. Ultimately it's down to the Apple approach of old - sure, you can install newest OS on your phone (fine print: your phone may slow down an become frustrating to use as a result and drive you to buy a new one). Except switching car that often is even less environmentally friendly and responsible.
