How does this compete with a Model S Plaid at almost double the price?

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2022900v architecture is helping lucid, it has knock-on effect ie-> inner wires and then thinne... moreAnd yet it didn't work in Japan - the agreement was on paper, real numbers were off like a 2 month old cheddar... Agree on the numbers though - while it is fun to have it, there's hardly any need for it. Once the hype is over and we all have no other choice but to drive electric and manufacturers don't need to bribe us with speed and power, we'll see family sedans with 150 hp or 200 hp and it'll be enough for most people. The beauty of electric motors is that you can have 1,000 hp and it'll still sip electrons through the straw if you're careful. With 1,000 hp ICE whether you boot it or leave it idle, it'll drink like Freddie Flintoff on the tour bus...

I kind of like the Tesla design better.

900v architecture is helping lucid, it has knock-on effect ie-> inner wires and then thinner motor winding, hence less bulky motor then 400v motor, hence smaller diameter of armature, hence lower angular momentum, hence faster spinup ie acceleration, and no carbon fibre bound armature needed( if used like telsa{they solved the exploding motor problem backwards} then lucid could get upto 2000hp), but this is already getting ridiculously fast. I hope government steps in and caps road legal cars to 1500kw(~2000hp). I mean like japanese government straight up banned bikes in 1990s to around 270hp, when bone stock out the showroom floor suzuki hayabusa could hit 200mph, and any idiot with driving licence could have one.
