Dubious, 03 Aug 2026I honestly wonder why that difference. I see the parallel with phone charging and silicon b... moremercedes, bmw, renault sure do have decent engineers but your euro grid can't handle it.
there are blackouts happening right now in europe.

The therotical safe charging power is 3C, applied only on the "traditional" batteries.
1.5GW is about 15 to 20C ... Way above the safe side.

Does Chinese manufacturers play the numbers and disregard longevity just like in mobile phone ? (It seems likely to me. Mercedes, BMW, Renault are more than 100 years old with good engineers. If the magic bullet for ultra fast charging was there I am pretty sure someone would have implemented it already).
