2. I never said I'm biased against anyone. I was just asking the writer of the article where the $50000 amout came from since the price of the car on the official VW page is the one on point 1.

I now understand MaxMcDee's explanation of why he stated $50000 in the article.

Seb, 08 Sep 2022I just did a short check on how much an ID4 (since it's the equivalent of this Chevrolet)... moreDude, at the time you made the original comment about your "short check" challenging ArenaEV you claimed the VW was $30000, which is why I checked CaD and corrected you with the $39k amount. Now I see that you've gone back and edited your post to change the claimed amount to $37600, while still claiming that the article is biased against VW. Lame....

Seb, 08 Sep 2022I just did a short check on how much an ID4 (since it's the equivalent of this Chevrolet)... moreHi Seb - thank you for looking into it. I didn't actually say VW starts at $50,000 - I just mentioned that they charge $50,000 for a half-decent family car. ID.$ "build cost" is $37,500, add to it destination charge and you're at nearly $39,000 - that's absic trim ID.4 and still without dealer's commission. Quick search across US dealership comes back with $42,481 with majority asking $46k and some going as far as $48k for a basic Pro RWD model. Pro S AWD goes for as much as $58k. If - and that is a huge IF - Chevy delivers the Equinox at $30k starting price - it'll be a win for many customers. I'm only biased towards a good value, $50 k for a car for a working family is not a good value.

VW is not known for making very poor value vehicles.. and the ID4(it's literally $36k and is a proper EV..) is very well priced so I have absolutely no idea what the author is talking about.

The Equinox EV is a truly competitive product and if Chevy can pull it off, it should be a hit. VW is a joke compared to it.

I just did a short check on how much an ID4 (since it's the equivalent of this Chevrolet) costs in the US and it starts at 37500$ so I'm not sure where you got the 50000$ from.
