VW Group leads European EV sales in April, as Skoda Elroq gets a flying start

VW Group was dominant on the European EV market in April. Per Dataforce's report, VW Group secured the top four spots, spearheaded by the Skoda Elroq.
In total, Skoda sold some 8,070 Elroqs in the month of April, followed by the VW ID.3 with 6,937, the ID7 with 6,783, and the ID.4 with 6,300. The solid sales figures could be attributed to VW's aggressive pricing for its ID models.
The Renault 5 E-Tech was in fifth with 5,715, and the Kia EV3 with 5,614 in sixth.

Tesla's Model Y, which was Europe's best-selling EV last year, could only place ninth in April. That's to be expected as Tesla CEO Elon Musk caused something of an anti-Tesla movement globally of late, and even the new Model Y seems unable to reverse the trend.
BYD is also gaining - it sold 5,300 EVs in April.

Without governments oppressing it's citizens, EV sales would plummet.
