2026 Zeekr 7X gets 900V charging and 785-HP version
Zeekr has rolled out an updated 2026 Zeekr 7X, giving its electric SUV a technology boost. The family-focused EV now joins the high-voltage club, adopting a 900V architecture for fast charging. This update should keep the popular model fresh in China's intensely competitive EV market.
Despite all the new hardware, the price is nearly identical to the previous model, starting at RMB 229,800 ($31,800). Zeekr is even offering a RMB 10,000 discount for early orders, dropping the entry price to just RMB 219,800.
The 2026 Zeekr 7X comes in three versions, with performance that ranges from brisk to supercar-like. The two lower-priced models feature a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive setup. This motor delivers a very healthy 370 kW (496 hp), pushing the EV from 0 to 62 mph in either 5.1 or 5.4 seconds, depending on the battery size.
The top-tier model, however, is a different beast. It uses a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system that delivers 585 kW (785 hp). This is enough to rocket the SUV from a standstill to 62 mph in just 2.98 seconds, putting it in territory once reserved for supercars and making it quicker than the Tesla Model Y Performance.
The biggest upgrade for most drivers will be the new charging technology. The two higher-end variants of the Zeekr 7X use a 900V system paired with a 103 kWh Qilin battery from CATL. This combination allows for 6C fast charging, enabling the battery to go from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 10 minutes. Zeekr claims this 10-minute session can add over 249 miles of range.
The entry-level model comes with an 800V, 75 kWh Zeekr Golden Battery. It's really hard to call this version slow-charging, since it takes only 10.5 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent at a 5.5C rate. This battery achieves a CLTC-rated range of 385 miles.
The larger 103 kWh battery has two different range ratings: 444 miles when it's paired with the AWD version or 498 miles when it comes with the single-motor model. These figures are based on the CLTC standard, which is common for electric cars sold in China, and is known for being extremely optimistic.
Zeekr made the decision that from now on, advanced technology is a standard feature, not an expensive option. Every 2026 Zeekr 7X, including the base model, comes with the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
This system is powered by a high-performance Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip, which boasts 700 TOPS of computing power. The system gets data from 31 sensors, including a standard LiDAR unit. This hardware and software combination promises sophisticated features like city-level autonomous driving assistance, automatic parking, and even parking-to-parking navigation.
All this technology might be new, but the packaging is the same. The 2026 Zeekr 7X keeps the exact dimensions of the outgoing model: 15.81 ft in length, 6.33 ft in width, 5.48 ft in height, and a 9.61 ft wheelbase.
Inside, the focus is on space and luxury. Rear passengers get a huge 3.9 ft of legroom, and the cargo area holds 32 ft³. The cabin includes high-end touches like frameless automatic doors, a temperature-controlled refrigerator (21°F to 122°F), massage seats, and even a rear power desk. The top-spec "Ultra" model also adds an adaptive air suspension with magnetic damping for a smoother ride.
The Zeekr 7X is an important model for the brand, which operates under the Geely umbrella. From January to September 2025, the 7X sold 52,255 units - that's just over 36 percent of the company's total deliveries.
