Mercedes-Benz expands EQE SUV lineup in Europe

Mercedes-Benz introduced new variants for its EQE SUV. The new versions will be available across the EU markets, starting with the Netherlands. While the EQE SUV had previously started its electric adventure with the EQE 350+, it now welcomes two new additions: the EQE 300 and the AMG 53 4MATIC.

The initial base Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV lineup was the EQE 350+, boasting a substantial 96 kWh battery pack and a decent 292 hp electric motor powering the rear axle. However, the lineup now includes a less powerful - the EQE SUV 300. This newcomer features a smaller 90.6 kWh battery and a 245 hp electric motor producing 406 lb-ft of torque. With this configuration, the EQE SUV 300 promises an impressive range of up to 359 miles on a single charge. It can accelerate to 62 mph in a respectable 7.6 seconds. Interested buyers can acquire the EQE SUV 300 as a Business Edition starting at nearly $89,600, with a Sport Edition variant also available.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+, with its 292 hp and 96 kWh battery, isn't going anywhere, but it's getting a new companion - the EQE 350 4MATIC, without the "+" sign in its name. This model comes equipped with the same 90.6 kWh battery and offers four-wheel drive, ensuring enhanced traction and stability. The EQE 350 4MATIC is available in a Business Edition starting at just over $95,400 and, just like the EQE SUV 300 and EQE 350+, it also comes in a Sport Edition variant.

Now, for the icing on the cake - Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV 53 4MATIC. This powerhouse packs a staggering 625 hp under its hood, outmuscling the already quick 43 4MATIC, which generates 476 hp. However, this extra power comes at a price, with the EQE SUV 53 4MATIC starting at a smidgen under $161,000 - roughly $20,400 more than the 43 4MATIC.

In addition to these powertrain updates, Mercedes-Benz revamped the lineup's trim levels. The Business Line has been replaced by the Business Edition, while the AMG Lines have been succeeded by the Sport Edition.
