Peugeot E-Traveller EV van debuts with up to 217 miles range

Peugeot has unveiled a new addition to its growing EV portfolio. The E-Traveller is designed with professional drivers in mind and it promises a blend of style, comfort, and efficiency.

The E-Traveller is available in two lengths: Standard (196.06 inches) and Long (209.84 inches), with a height of 74.8 inches, making it suitable for most car parks. The interior is remarkably spacious, offering configurations that can accommodate up to 9 people with a trunk volume of 53 ft³, or provide up to 173 ft³ of load volume with fewer passengers.

The E-Traveller is powered by a single electric motor offering a maximum power of 100 kW (136 bhp) and torque of 192 lb-ft. The top speed is limited to 81 mph.

The E-Traveller offers two battery capacities: a 50 kWh battery providing up to 139 miles range and a 75 kWh battery offering up to 217 miles range. They can be recharged at up to 100 kW at DC charging point, going from 5% to 80% in 38 minutes for the 50 kWh battery and 45 minutes for the 75 kWh battery. An 11kW wallbox at home can give a full charge in 4 hours 50 minutes for the 50 kWh battery or 7 hours 30 minutes for the 75 kWh battery.

Its front end has been completely redesigned, featuring the brand's new emblem, full LED headlights with the iconic Peugeot 3 claw signature, and a bumper optimized for protection and aerodynamics. This redesign isn't just for looks; it enhances the vehicle's aerodynamics and in turn efficiency.

The interior of the E-Traveller offers new fabric or perforated leather for the seats, depending on the version, and a Liquid Palladium-colored trim on the side panels. The dashboard features a new e-Toggle gearshift control, a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, and increased storage space.

A 10” digital color instrument cluster is standard, to controls the audio system and connected navigation, while the OK PEUGEOT voice assistant allows for natural language commands.

The vehicle is equipped with a range of driving aids like driver fatigue warning, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control.

The E-Traveller supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and over-the-air system updates. The vehicle also features a wireless smartphone charger and multiple USB-C and 12V sockets, ensuring that both driver and passengers stay connected on the go.

The vehicle is aimed at professional transport needs, from hotel shuttles and taxis to clubs and associations. The company offers a special VIP trim level, with a lounge configuration and luxurious finishes for the more upscale locations.
