Redesigned Dacia Spring launches - still most affordable EV in Europe

Dacia is launching the refreshed version of its all-electric Spring. The redesign seeks to amplify the appeal of an already popular model, which boasts the title of the third-best-selling electric car in Europe for 2022 and 2023. The new Dacia Spring brings a bunch of updates, while retaining its lowest price tags among European EVs.

The exterior of the new Spring features a sturdy, modern aesthetic with a sculpted hood, sharp lines, and a distinctive Y-shaped light signature that incorporates full-LED daytime running lights at the front and LED taillights. The roof is the only bit to remain unchanged. The interior, too, has been overhauled, offering a more contemporary and refined driving experience.

Drivers can choose between the same 45 hp or 65 hp electric motors, which means the Spring is still the least powerful among the EVs out there. The car's lightweight design contributes to its impressive efficiency, rated at 13.5 kWh per 62 miles for the 65 hp model. Dacia says the Spring boasts the largest loading capacity in its segment, although that's admittedly not a not a high bar to clear.

Inside the new Spring you'll find a 7-inch customizable driver's screen and a 10-inch multimedia central screen.

It'll be interesting to see how the new tariffs on China-made EVs affect the price of the Spring, since it is manufactured by Dongfeng in Hubei.

This car costs 7000 EUR in China and even it's cheap NOBODY buys it, because there are better cars for this price. It's POOR PEOPLE car in China, plastic and low performance. It's so sad to see most europeans can't afford it.
