Skoda Enyaq gets a fresh face and tech boost
The Skoda Enyaq, a popular all-electric SUV, has received a facelift update for 2025. A new look, enhanced technology, and improved aerodynamics apply to both the SUV and Coupe body styles, incorporating design elements first seen on the new Skoda Elroq. The updated Enyaq will be available in three trim levels: SE L, Edition, and Sportline, with the high-performance vRS models coming soon.
The most obvious change is the redesigned front end, featuring Skoda's new "Tech-Deck" styling. The narrow black upper section houses the daytime running lights and indicators, with illuminated elements in higher-spec models. The Tech-Deck is also where the Enyaq's front radar and camera hide.
The main headlights are positioned lower on the bumper, creating a split-headlight effect. All models come with full LED lighting, with higher-grade models getting Matrix LED units with unique lighting animations. The aerodynamic lower bumper improves the drag coefficient, making the Enyaq Coupé the most aerodynamic Skoda to date.
The updated Enyaq will launch with two styling options: the standard look for SE L and Edition models, and a sportier Sportline version. Standard SUV models have a light grey lower bumper and door trim, while standard Coupé variants are fully body-colored. All models now feature a new script badge that is replacing the Skoda logo. The rear lights have been refreshed with a dashed lighting signature.
Sportline models, in both SUV and Coupe styles, are fully body-colored and come with 20-inch wheels, with an optional 21-inch diamond-cut set. They also feature black badges, mirror caps, and design elements on the front bumper, plus roof rails on the SUV. Sportline models are expected to offer high-end features like a head-up display, surround-view camera, and sports suspension.
The updated Enyaq will initially be available with three powertrain options. The entry-level SUV model will have a 60 powertrain with a 200 hp rear-mounted electric motor and a 58 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 268 miles and a 0-62 mph time of 8.1 seconds. The 80 model, available in both SUV and Coupé forms, will feature a 77 kWh battery and a 282 hp electric motor, increasing the range to 359 miles and achieving 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds. The 80x variant will add a second electric motor on the front axle for all-wheel drive, with a more powerful vRS version coming later.
Inside, the Enyaq gets more standard equipment, including an electric tailgate, predictive radar cruise control, tri-zone air-conditioning, and four USB-C ports. A new steering wheel design is also available, with two-spoke or three-spoke options. The infotainment system keeps the familiar 13-inch touchscreen and 5-inch driver's display, but with updated software and new functions, such as a one-touch "Heaters" function for quick defrosting.
The active parking assist technology has been upgraded with remote parking and autonomous driving functions, controlled through the Skoda smartphone app. The car can now get itself out of tight parking spaces and drive autonomously for up to 50 meters along a learned route. The interior features updated color and trim combinations, including fabric, microsuede, and leather options. The Enyaq's spacious interior remains unchanged, with a boot capacity of 20.7 ft³ for the SUV and 20.1 ft³ for the Coupe.
Despite the comprehensive updates, the Enyaq does not feature the newer 79 kWh battery pack with its efficiency and charging speed advantages. However, this battery pack may be used in future variants, including the new vRS. Skoda hasn't released any official info on pricing yet, but we expect the new Enyaq to be slightly more expensive than the current model, which starts at around $47,700 in Europe.
